WELCOME

First and foremost, thanks to all for your HUB Nugget nomination! 

I am almost 60 years young which is astonishing to me!  I love so much of my lifestyle today than any other previous time in my life.

I retired from a banking career a number of years ago after a back injury in 1991.  I have had 20+ years of time on my hands and have lot's of hobbies to prove it.

Some of my interests include writing short stories, poetry, cooking, gardening, yoga, refinishing antique furniture, painting,  jewelry making, my community 'meals on wheels' program and watching television.

I'm sort of a Jackie of all trades, mistress of none.  I've been labeled a female McGiver because I would rather figure out how to fix something with wire or string than to go out and buy a new one.  When you see someone's broken down pile of trash on the side of a curb, I see my next set of patio furniture.

My physical writing started back in 1980's but I've always had great interest in the art of story telling.

I have only been writing here at HUB Pages for a couple of weeks, but, so far so good.  I'm really enjoying this writing venue.  I'm happy to have this opportunity to publish some of my work and am looking forward to reading more of the really great articles from my fellow hubbers.
